The Broker - What It Is
TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
That last detail matters. It suggests the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. Still more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys did the opposite. Interesting choice.
Market coverage: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For something that is a few months old, the breadth is solid.
The Software
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both matters. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders prefer it after using both.
FIX API is there for algo traders but requires the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is apparently in the works. That should make the platform set once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Straightforward. $0 to start. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. Meaning your actual cost per trade can be under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not something most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
This is the thing Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote a much wider range.
Does this affect you? If you scalp, it does. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Pair that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package makes sense. Hardly anyone at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
Here is the detail you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is not cheap. Scam brokers do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It should inform how you think about it.
The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether that works comes down to your priorities.
